Esther van den Berg
I am a member of the Leibniz ScienceCampus ‘Empirical Linguistics and Computational Language Modeling’ and a PhD student under supervision of Professor Katja Markert since 2016. I started out working on the effect of noise on Deep Learning approaches to Sentiment Analysis. Since then I have built and annotated the English and the German Twitter Titling Corpora to study the relationship between variation in naming and sentiment towards politicans. Currently I am working on involving context information to improve deep learning approaches to detecting framing towards entities in news texts.
